VI Floating Patio

For this project we will be engaging in the planning, procurement, resourcing, scheduling, and managing operations for a floating patio construction project on Vancouver Island. This patio will be 10 feet long and 8 feet wide. It will not be attached to any existing structures and will sit between a fence and a house. The floating patio style including a pergola roof. The floating patio design offers levelling of the floor based on the corner posts. 2 hidden posts will be added within the base, flanked by one row of blocking to add rigidity. We believe that both the 2 hidden posts and blocking go beyond known building norms for patios this size. Care will be taken to make sure that the patio is far enough from the house and fence to allow for moving around the patio. We will also prepare the ground around the pillars and below the eventual floor with anti weed tarp.
